Mark "Blossom" Brown

My Friends All Call Me Blossom

A radio show in memory of Mark “Blossom” Brown, who as a member of Cobbers helped to bring Australian folk music into the public conscience. Though tragically killed in a car crash in 1979, his legacy lived on through the work of the band and the acceptance of Australian folk music internationally. This show was recorded in 1980 at 3CR Melbourne to coincide with the first anniversary of his death. It features many recordings not released elsewhere including live shows and party tapes from private hoards of band members and friends.
